Biggest Lies in History

I believe the that the Biggest Lie in history is the selling of indulgences from the Roman Catholic Church. Indulgences is when you pay money to get a piece of paper that can guarantee you a trip to heaven and forgiveness of all your sins. The church also sold simony's where you could pay to get positions in the church. It was a scheme by the church however, there was one person that stood up to this scheme and that person was Martin Luther. He stood up to this lie by forming the Protestant Reformation. Martin Luther as his first move made the 95 theses that talks about the evils about the church and the selling of indulgences. The church then was finding that the Protestant Reformation was actually a threat. The churched warned Martin Luther to stop this or he will be excommunicated. Martin Luther then died February 18, 1546 at Eisleben. The church later in history collapse after the Black Death.
